Welcome to Lincoln City Animal Clinic

Your Trusted Veterinarian Serving Lincoln City, Newport, and Surrounding Coastal Communities

For more than 40 years, Lincoln City Animal Clinic has been a trusted source of compassionate veterinary care for dogs and cats in Lincoln City, Newport, and along Oregon’s beautiful central coast.

What began in 1985 as a small, single-doctor practice has grown into a thriving veterinary hospital that’s stayed true to the values that built our reputation as a trusted veterinarian in the local area. Today, under the loving guidance of Dr. Meghan Brooks, we continue the tradition of treating every pet like family while combining modern veterinary medicine with the friendly, welcoming care the community has come to expect.

At Lincoln City Animal Clinic, we want you to think of us as an extension of your family’s healthcare team—we’re your family’s “other doctor,” the one who cares for your furry family members through every stage of life. From routine wellness visits and preventive care to unexpected illnesses and surgery, we’re here to provide compassionate, personalized care you can trust.

Why Families Choose Lincoln City Animal Clinic

Lincoln City Animal Clinic is a top choice for pet parents throughout Lincoln County.

-Our team is experienced, approachable, and committed to making high-quality veterinary care accessible when it’s needed most. Dr. Meghan Brooks brings 16 years of veterinary experience, while Dr. Fern brings 18 years of experience, giving your pet the benefit of knowledgeable, compassionate care backed by decades of combined expertise.

-We’re open six days a week and offer urgent care, same-day appointments for urgent medical concerns, and emergency walk-in care during business hours whenever possible.

-We’re locally owned, which means we make care decisions based on what’s best for your pet—not what’s best for a corporation or veterinary chain’s bottom line. This allows us to focus on providing individualized care and building long-term relationships with the families who trust us with their pets.

-We offer CareCredit financing to help make unexpected veterinary expenses more manageable, so cost doesn’t stand in the way of your pet’s care. We also provide the convenience of an online pharmacy and online store to get the medications, diets, and products their pets need, all in one place.

This last weekend we had to make the difficult decision to put down our beloved dog. Tara at the front desk was amazing and was so sweet. As well as dr.brooks and her tech that I didn’t catch her name. She was the gal with short hair and tattoos. They all were very caring and make feel so much better. Thank you guys ♥️

We were there over the 4th of July weekend. Our Malshipoo stepped in tar and we had no idea what to do. We went to this vet and they took her in immediately and went to work on her before the tar could harden. They were absolutely wonderful and they removed all of the tar! Izzy was tar-free and we could enjoy our weekend beach trip! We cannot thank them enough!😃

I love this giving positive Christian atmosphere. Animals come 1st. Training owners takes longer.

Can I get a few more stars to put on this review, please? My husband and I have used Lincoln City Animal Clinic for 6 years now to treat our cats. They are great. The technicians are so patient and gentle with our ornery cat when she gets her nails trimmed and her arthritis shot every month, even though she is never patient or gentle with them. Several years ago, one of our cats lost weight suddenly. We had to go to a specialty clinic for a scan; that clinic recommended a $10,000 surgery. This cat was 11 years old at the time and already had multiple other health issues, and I did not know what to do! So my husband and I went back to LCAC, to Dr. Murphy in this case. While Dr. Murphy expressed that she understood the reasoning for the other clinic's recommendation, she also understood our dilemma. She suggested we try medication to mitigate the problem and to keep the cat reasonably healthy for as long as it had to live, given its other problems. I am so happy to say: that was 3 years ago, and due to that solution, this cat is happy, going strong, and has truly lived its best life since then. Beyond my own experience with our cats, I must say that Lincoln City Animal Clinic is also an amazing community resource. Here's why: I volunteered with a humane organization in Lincoln County for almost five years. My volunteer roles were trapping feral cats, and transporting foster and feral cats to clinics and vet offices, whether they needed to be fixed or were injured or sick. During this time I took LITERALLY HUNDREDS of feral and foster cats to clinics in Portland, Salem, Vancouver (WA), Lebanon, Corvallis, McMinnville, Newberg, Albany and even Astoria. I also took many, many feral and foster cats to Lincoln City Animal Clinic during this time. IN FACT, and this is almost unbelievable to me to say: the ONLY vet in Lincoln County that I EVER took one of these HUNDREDS of cats to was Lincoln City Animal Clinic. They were the only clinic in Lincoln County that accepted ferals for spay/neuters from our organization during my time as a volunteer. When the Lincoln County Commissioners authorized $100,000 to spay/neuter feral cats in Lincoln County in 2024, Lincoln City Animal Clinic was the only clinic in Lincoln County as far as I know to complete the paperwork to establish themselves to do this work, and they also provided a lower-cost surgery so the County's money would go as far as possible. In this way they served ALL citizens in Lincoln County. Feral cats generally have hard lives, and Lincoln City Animal Clinic regularly let us bring sick and injured feral cats to them on an urgent basis. Every time they were caring and patient and those poor, forgotten animals received the best treatment possible. Their kindness and generosity have benefited people and animals here in ways that most people do not see. The vets and staff at Lincoln City Animal Clinic are truly community leaders, in addition to everything else they are (e.g. saints). Lincoln County is blessed to have this wonderful community resource!!!!!
